Blackburn Learning Center
The Blackburn Learning Center is a basic school
teaching around 35 children who would have little or no opportunity for education otherwise
The Mt. Pelier community near Sandy Bay, where the Blackburn Learning Center is located, is a place
where work teams came in the late 80's and early 90's to rebuild after Hurricane Gilbert devastated the area
JRM has been funding and overseeing the school through sponsors who
have partnered with JRM to provide monthly support for these children's education.
